I love sales and I cannot lie...

I'm not big on camping out to get show tickets or waiting in long lines to be first in the store on Black Friday. But I do love me a good sale.

This last Friday (as I write this) I was online doing regular work when an author friend posted on Facebook: "Got this great app at 95% off! I was going to buy this later when I got enough money, but can afford it now for much less!"

Sale, great app...I was intrigued. I took a look, and darn if it wasn't exactly a tool I needed for my author arsenal...ahem, kitbag, with a LIFETIME ACCESS to fun pictures.

Yeah, I plunked down $50 for that puppy. Was it worth it? You tell me.

When Animals Help...

Sometimes we all need a little help in life. And lucky for us, animals are there to lend a hand. I am working hard to get the next story out to you, so here's a glimpse into my life with my personal assistant...my cat, Grayson.

He helps make sure I get the laundry done.

He makes sure I don't spend too much time on social media when I should be doing other things. You know, like feeding him.

He helps me decide on wall decor. He'll knock down whatever doesn't pass his high standards.

He's a great editor too! He simply eats the pages he doesn't approve of.

But at the end of the day, we all love our pets. They bring laughter, comfort, and joy to our lives when we seem to need it most. They also see us at our worst and love us anyway.

Of course they also judge us.

My cat often looks at me like this until I feel guilty. I don't often know what I've done wrong, but when he looks at me like this, I'm pretty sure I have committed the most heinous crime.

What do your animals do to keep you entertained? Share a story or picture below. I'd love to see what furry critter keeps you on task.

My Kitten is Getting Coal This Year.

Happy Holidays, everybody!!

Hopefully you've got a better handle on this month than I do. It's been a whirlwind, to say the least. I even made my own tree this year, because I sure wasn't decorating the whole real tree deal.

But I've got most of my xmas shopping done.

Okay...SOME of it.

Dammit, okay. I've bought my pets their presents. That's what counts, right?

Dogs, fish, birds, everyone is getting a little something. Except my cat. He's on the...

NAUGHTY LIST

Why? Let me count the ways.

1. He eats my dog's food if I don't pick it up IMMEDIATELY. He scares my dog. My dog has issues.

2. He wakes me up at 5:30 in the morning. Even after I get my coffee, I'm still bitter.

3. He throws things at me when he's on top of the cabinets. (I need to clean those things off.)

4. He jumps in the fish tank. Literally. ALL THE TIME.

5. He steals my socks. I can't do laundry until he naps, because the little sucker will take them out of the laundry basket and drag them under the couch.

Oh who am I kidding...all those cuddles and purrs make up for it. How could I not fill up his stocking? Just look at the kitty face!

Who are you forgiving this year and buying things for anyway? What holidays are you celebrating in December? Should we all just buy up the booze and drink our way into the new year at this point?

I'm thinking a little alcohol doesn't sound like a bad idea at the moment. Someone Irish up my coffee!
